So I have been meaning to give everyone an update on HIgh Definition and how it affects you or could affect your wedding video. What is HD? Without getting into to much detail, and to put it simply, HD is just much better that standard definition. High Definition allows 1080 lines of resolution compared to almost half that of standard definition, and with the new HD cameras we now have the video is much clearer, sharper, and more vivid. There is no comparision, in my opinion it's 5x better than standard definition (regular DVD). How do you get it? If you have our Studio or Signature packages, then we shoot with our new HD cameras and edit on our new HD editing system. But well over 50% of our couples have either the Classic or Essential packages. This doesnt include HD. High Definition will be the standard format in less than a few years, and in 5 years, regular DVD's will be as ancient as VHS tapes are now. Our eyes will be use to viewing everything in clear HD, and now that the technology is available...its up to you to invest in better quality! Our HD upgrade (includes the extra 15 hours of labor needed to edit, export, and archive) We then archive a master on HD tape, and then transfer to Blueray Discs which will play in a BlueRay player (available on the market now). This will allow playback on your HDTV in 1080i crystal clear HD video. The HD upgrade cost is typically $750, however I truly beleive in the best quality, and i strongly recommend you having your wedding shot and edited in HD. You WILL not regret this upgrade, and I want my clients to have this upgrade so strongly, that I am discounting the HD upgrade to $499. This includes all the extra labor, the shooting on our better quality HD cameras, upgraded editing, and 2 BlueRay copies ($99 value per disc!). You also receive everything on DVD as it was already included in your package. We are also including a free WEDCAST (online streaming of recap video posted online for your friends and family to view ($99 value) if you upgrade prior to May 1st. This upgrade will not affect your total amount due prior to the wedding, the $499 is not due until the editing on the video is complete (about 8-10 weeks after the wedding, so it won't mess up the "pre-wedding" budget). I have never pushed or advertised upgrades on any of our video packages in 8 years, however I feel so strongly about the difference in quality you will receive, that it's a must!

Blockbuster now carries all new releases on BlueRay, all major releases now are available in BlueRay, and HD video is here and here to stay....so upgrade your Classic or Essentials package today! THIS HAS TO BE DONE PRIOR TO THE WEDDING SINCE YOUR WEDDING HAS TO BE FILMED IN HD AND EDITED ON OUR HD COMPUTER. You can't transfer your wedding to BlueRay after we shoot and edit it, since it will be shot and edited in standard defintion and can never be upgraded to a better quality once its shot in the lower standard defintion quality.
