Nicoletta & Jason's Engagement Session

We have really gotten to know Nicoletta and Jason a little more than our average client since we have met with them several times, and we absolutely love them! So we were really excited to get to do this session with them. They define themselves as not being photogenic, but I thought they did great and we really captured some wonderful images to show off their engagement. We actually went to the Morikami Japanese Gardens as well as the beach to really capture the best of both worlds. We don't normally do this, but they talked me into it (not that it took alot of talking to convince me!). Now I just can't wait for their fabulous wedding at the Breakers Hotel next month!

Aileen & Erik's Wedding

You know... sometimes you never know what to expect when going to a wedding. In fact there are times I never even get to meet the birde and groom until the day of, especially if we dont do an engagement session. I honestly did not know what to expect on this day, but I really have to say that everything turned out great! Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Plymouth Congragational Church and the reception was at Signature Gardens, which I believe is in Coconut Grove? I don't know, Ryan is the one who always drives, Im just along for the ride! Stay tuned, because in the next couple of weeks I am going to be posting their completed album!

Crystal & Erick's Pier 66 Wedding!

Amazing view at this wedding! Ceremony on the grounds at the amazing Garden Terrace area of Hyatt's Pier 66 Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. Followed by a sunset on the Pier Top with a dazzling view of Fort Lauderdale during the reception. We try to stay on top of our creative game with our films, so we got this new piece of equipment similiar to a monopod---check out the cool reception shots we got with it. This couple was certainly partying the night away, so they were perfect to try out this spinning shot I've wanted to do for awhile. The bride and groom actually filmed themselves with this cool new attachment we now have! Click the link below to watch their recap!

Amy & Nicholas' Wedding

Amy and Nicholas are from Ohio, and decided to have a destination wedding on Marco Island here in FL. So Ryan and I drove over Saturday morning so that we could get there a day early, check into the hotel, and scout out the property. The whole event took place at the Marco Island Marriott, and it was unbelievably beautiful. Apparently they just did millions of dollars in renovations, and it definately showed! On Sunday, we woke up and came to find that the sunny paradise we had known the day before had disappeared and that the temperature had dropped to the 50's! This wasnt exactly what you'd expect when you come to an island in Florida! Despite the weather we headed over to the brides room as normal to capture her getting ready for the big day. It had been sprinkling here and there all day long, but wouldn't you know the moment the ceremony started down on the beach, it began to POUR! The 60 or so guests and ourselves just looked at each other, not knowing what to do, but nobody moved. So we all just stayed out there in the rain for the whole ceremony, and I have to tell you it was so much fun! I felt like a kid playing in the rain! The downside was that it was raining in 50 degree weather so everyone was a tad bit miserable and cold, but not one person complained. Wouldn't you know it that about 15 minutes after the ceremony it cleared up and was pretty much beautiful for the rest of the night, go figure! Regardless of everything, we had a great day and really enjoyed being there!

Brides, Say Hi!

Hi again to all our previous brides married from 2003-2007 who are visiting our blog for the first time! Leave us a comment here to say hi and let Andrea, Sean, and myself know how everyone is doing! We hope everyone is doing well...and I'm sure some of you now have children or have some on the way...congrats to you!

Ryan & Andrea

Leah & Michael

I've decided to share a few videos this year with our BLOG readers to mix things up a little with the images Andrea posts for all of our brides. Leah & Michael got married on October 27th, 2007 in Weston, FL and have the honor of being our first blogged video! Take a look at their recap video online that highlights their wedding day by clicking below.

Jessica & Andrew's Studio Engagement Session

Jessica & Andrew's wedding is coming up here next month, and Jessica really wanted to have a few pictures to display at the reception as a surprise to her mother. So they came in for a short studio session (which might I add we had never done before, because our studio is normally meant for babies and seniors!)Andrew was so tall that I actually had to have them kneel to fit him in my backdrop! I was so embarrassed but it worked out great, and they were really sweet about it. Thankfully next year we will be moving to a larger studio and I will be able to accomodate engagement sessions and family portraits a little better.

Shawna's Senior Session

Shawna booked an on-location and studio session with us for her senior portraits. We headed to downtown Stuart first for some downtown shots and a few on the river. Shawna was such a pleasure to work with, and so genuine and polite.

Victoria & Irwin

Well it was really great getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. We took about a two week break and although we had a great time, I was so ready to shoot Victoria and Irwin's wedding. After some getting ready and a few formals at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscane, we headed over to the Rusty Pelican for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony took place on the second floor and was absolutely breathtaking with a perfect view of the Miami skyline.
