For those of you who don't know, our first annual "Day with the Ducks" Portrait Day is coming up on March 9th at Indian Riverside Park! The ducklings finally came today (I am so excited!)I just love these little guys (or girls?)! My sister Katie and I went out to Okeechobee and picked up their food today, and Katie wanted to take a few pictures in the front yard with our new friends. We hope you all will bring your little ones out for this fun day at the park. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Martin County Parks and Recreation to help keep the park beautfiul for us all to enjoy! Give us a call if you wish to set up a session--we have only 10 spots left so CALL ASAP so you don't get left out! I am doing a preshoot with my nephew and the ducklings this Saturday and I will be sure to post some sneak peak pictures!

Everytime I photograph at the House of Refuge, it is gorgeous, and today was no exception! If anyone wants beautiful beach portraits, this is the place to do it! You have the beautiful beach on one side, and there is always an amazing sunset on the river side right across the street. Tiffany and Stephan are such a cute couple, but I have to say it was like pulling teeth getting Stephan to even talk! I am not sure if he is shy, or if he is just a man of few words... I think if I had to choose I would pick the latter. I am determined to get him to open up a little more on their wedding day... any suggestions? I guess I'll just have to let you know when their April wedding rolls around!

Jessica & Andrew's wedding took place at a temple in adventura. I have to admit I was skeptical about how the reception was going to be at a temple... BOY was I wrong! This was a beautiful temple, it didn't have alot of great asthetics on the outside, but the inside was beautiful. The social hall there is just as lovely if not more so than many venues I have been to. It also didn't hurt that they had some of the most beautiful floral arrangements and decor! I swear they had to chop down at least 2 or 3 trees for the chuppah they had! It was covered in tons of foliage, hydrangeas, roses, and orchids, absolutely gorgeous in person. Also, check out those shoes she had! Oh and one more thing, the flower girl carried that teddy bear made of flowers! I have been to ALOT of weddings and have never seen this, so I thought some of you would appreciate it!

It was the most beautiful day today for an engagement session! Lorelle and Chris came up to do their session in Historic Downtown Stuart with Lorelle's sister-in-law, Dina who is 5 months pregnant in tow! I am really excited for Dina... AND myself since she is giving me the priveledge of shooting her maternity portraits in the next couple of months! She is the cutest little pregnant lady! Anyway, back to the main attraction here, Lorelle and Chris are such a fun couple, and Lorelle was really nervous (as alot of women are when they are having photographs done). I have no problem giving a photographers prescription for a couple glasses of wine! Everything turned out great though and she warmed up pretty quickly. I love couples like these two because they did whatever I told them to do, and THAT is very important, to trust the people you hire to do the job you hired them to do!

I decided to post a Birth Announcement so that you all could see what a finished product looks like. This is a horizontal accordian card that folds and has 6 sides. These can be printed on a press metallic paper, a linen paper, or on regular matte. This will be printed on metallic, it's my favorite!

So I was really excited to get Gianna in the studio! I had alot of new things I wanted to do, and I needed a baby to do them with! Gianna is just over a week old, and PERFECT for these types of photographs! Newborns (up to 2 weeks old) are so much fun to photograph because they pretty much asleep the whole time. When babies are older than 2 weeks, you really risk them not going to sleep and squirming alot, which doesn't always make for the most "peaceful" of images. So FYI, get those lovebugs to me as soon as they are born, because they change so much every week!

We had a busy weekend once again this Friday & Saturday. On Friday, Ryan, Jennifer, and myself shot a wonderful cinematic film in Miami at the Spanish Monastery. After 10 hours of shooting video we bunked up at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale to get some sleep before Jen & Jason's Saturday afternoon wedding. The day started out with some great shots at her mom's home in Weston before heading to St. Bonaventure Church in Davie for the ceremony. The groomsmen gave the bride and bridesmaids several panic attacks with their "two left shoes", "running an hour late", and "no black socks" phone pranks that the bridemaids tried to keep from the bride for obvious stressful reasons. Thankfully they were just kidding and everything went off in time, with shoes and socks as expected. The night ended at Diamonte's in Fort Lauderdale with DJ Ubi who we ended up working with two nights in a row. Busy weekend....needless to say the Focused on Forever team will all be relaxing Sunday!

What a beautfiful day it was at the Morikami Japanese Gardens! Stephanie & Adam are such a sweet couple and so patient with me! We had a great time walking around the garden and Stephanie looked so beautiful & sweet in her classic black dress and pearls! I love it!

Hannah and Paul make the cutest couple, and they had a such a beautiful wedding filled with tons of friends and family. Plus, they truely had some of the prettiest decor, including their lovely centerpieces. The reception took place at the Carolina Club, which is this gorgeous venue wuth a kick butt staircase and an amazing burning fireplace in the ballroom. This place has true southern charm and is right up my alley being a southern girl myself. It reminds me of a southern plantation right out of Alabama!
